nope not johnny depp - its a picture of a woman (and i added some wrinkles) i'll give you a hint, its a cover to an album by someone famous. Ouch? I'm sorry. I thought the description was accurate with all the scratchy waxy build up of red and black along with her white wrinkled face. I like it. I guess I don't get a cookie.

  the art of painting reminds me of the expressionistic art group "the bridge" (and a little of edvard munch, if you can call him expressionistic) : the hard expressive structure of the table, the dirt in the background, the fume... I guess the motive fits in that time-period, too -> 1920ies. At first I thought of Greta Garbo, because of the hat and the gesture,but at that time she was too young for this..
